Our Wedding

Britten and I met in Austin the modern way - on a dating app! Our very first date was a walk along the Zilker Hike and Bike Trail, and my dog, Ellie, immediately claimed him as her own (which I took as a very good sign!). Not long after, we realized we were both from small towns named Luling—mine in Texas, his in Louisiana—and the rest felt meant to be.  Now, two years later, we’re still laughing, exploring Austin’s restaurant scene, dancing to ABBA in the kitchen, and chasing after our two dogs: Ellie and Bruce. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!

The Lost Mission is nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country in Spring Branch, TX — about 25 minutes north of the San Antonio International Airport and just over an hour southwest of Austin Bergstrom International. Whether you’re flying in or driving, it’s a beautiful and easy trip through rolling hills and live oaks. There are plenty of great places to stay nearby, from charming Hill Country Airbnbs to comfortable hotels in Spring Branch, Bulverde, and New Braunfels. We recommend booking early, especially if you’d like to stay close to the venue!

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at Hampton Inn Bulverede for your convenience. Courtyard by Marriott, New Braunfels River Village, is about 30 minutes from the wedding venue and a great choice if you prefer staying closer to New Braunfels. There’s no special rate or room block here, but you can book directly through their website.

Travel & Accommodations

Is there a dress code?Dress code is cocktail attire! We kindly ask guests to dress in a polished, semi-formal style to help us create a special and elegant evening. For the ladies, this means a dress or jumpsuit that’s knee-length or longer — something you’d wear to a nice evening out or wedding. Heels, wedges, or dressy flats are all perfect. For the gentlemen, we recommend a suit or dress slacks with a button-down and a sport coat. Ties are optional, but please skip jeans, polos, and work boots for this one.We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! Can I bring my kids?While we love your little ones, we’ve chosen to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration (with the exception of our nieces and nephews). We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you! Are plus-ones invited?We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends! To keep our guest list intimate, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If your invite includes a plus one, their name will appear there. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep the celebration personal. Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?The ceremony and reception are both indoors and fully air-conditioned. The cocktail hour will take place outdoors, so plan for Texas summertime weather. How far is the venue from San Antonio/Austin airports?Lost Mission is a 28-minute drive from the San Antonio International Airport and 1 hour and 33 minutes from Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Will there be an open bar?We’ll have an open bar serving beer, wine, and a signature cocktail to keep the good times flowing! If you’re craving something a little extra, the full bar will be open for cash purchases. Can I take photos during the ceremony?We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony — phones away until cocktail hour, please! A must-see in San Antonio, the River Walk winds through downtown with beautiful riverside views, great food, and plenty of local culture. Whether you’re sightseeing or just looking for a fun place to grab a drink, it’s the place to be!
